Latin I:
Today we began to work on translating the story in Chapter 4. The BIG IDEA of Chapter 4 is DIRECT OBJECTS. Direct objects are what is being operated on by a verb.
"Cornelia likes Flavia." Cornelia is the subject and Flavia is the direct object.
"Sextus climbs a tree." Sextus is the subject and a tree is the direct object.
Singular direct objects end with an -m in Latin.
Homework: finish translating the story in Chapter 4 and answer the questions at the bottom of the page in COMPLETE LATIN SENTENCES. (exercise 4a)
