Latin I:
We took a quiz on chapters 1-2.
We began to translate A Summer Afternoon - the story in chapter 3.
There are some new nouns in chapter 3 with different endings. Just as puella turns to puellae in the plural, puer turns to pueri in the plural. Puer, vir, servus and hortus are all words in this noun family that take an i in the plural.
The word statua is not defined for you in the story. It means statue.
Homework for Monday is to finish the translation for chapter 3. If you have difficulties, skip that part of the translation and try the next sentence. There are a couple of confusing sentences in this story but we will go over them carefully on Monday!
Latin II:
There will be a quiz on Monday on regular verb conjugations in the present and imperfect tenses, as well as chapter 16 vocabulary. Here is a link to the quia.com page for chapter 16 vocabulary. Go to my profile page for activities with verb conjugations.
